Required for Assembly

Phillips-head Screwdriver

  1. Attach lower body to mop foot by snapping into place.
  1. Insert handle into body of unit and screw until tightened.
  1. Wrap cord. To easily unwrap, turn the Quick Release Cord Wrap down.

Getting Ready to Clean

Note: Use of distilled water in place of tap water is recommended for optimal steam performance and to prolong the life of your steamer.
To add a fresh scent as you clean, try BISSELL® Demineralized Waters in scents like Citrus, Eucalyptus Mint and Spring Breeze. Do not use chemicals in the water tank of your machine. Other solutions may harm the machine.

  1. Choose your mop pad.
Soft Pad: Best for everyday use on delicate flooring like sealed hardwoods and laminate.
Scrubby Pad: Best for more durable flooring like tile, scrubbing heavily soiled floors or cleaning tougher messes.
  1. To attach mop pad, wrap mop pad around the bottom of the foot, making sure the gray stitching is located on the front of the foot and the Quick Grip Release Tab is located on the back.
  1. Optional: Add scent disc.
Use a whole disc or cut in half. To insert scent discs, pull the tray on top of mop head. Load disc and reinstall tray.
  1. Lift the water tank cap straight up to open.
  1. Using measuring cup, slowly pour 560 mL (19 oz) of water into the water tank.
  1. Close the water tank cap after filling.

Steam Cleaning & Sanitizing

Your handheld steam cleaner was tested by third-party laboratories under controlled conditions to ensure it sanitizes and kills 99.9% of germs, bacteria and viruses, including Coronavirus and Influenza viruses*. Please use as directed; your results may vary.

Cleaning Tips

  • Before using your steam mop to clean and sanitize*, thoroughly sweep or vacuum floor.
  • Your steam mop is designed to clean hard flooring such as ceramic tile, laminate, marble, stone, and sealed hardwood floors. Use of your steam mop on waxed or some unwaxed floors may result in a diminished glossiness. The steam mop is not for use on unsealed floors. For best results, test in an inconspicuous area and check the care instructions from your flooring manufacturer.
  1. Plug the machine into a properly grounded outlet.
The Steam Ready light will start to blink. Wait 30 seconds for machine to heat up until light turns solid.
Note: During first use or after refilling the water tank, the pump may make a "knocking" sound. This is normal and will diminish after a few seconds.
  1. Press the STEAM ON/OFF button to turn machine ON.
  1. Press your desired steam level button.
High Steam: For cleaning durable floors or tough, stuckon or sticky messes.
Low Steam: For delicate floors or for light, everyday cleaning.
  1. To begin cleaning, step on the back of the mop foot to recline the body of the machine.
Note: Pedal on back of machine is to remove mop foot and is not a reclining lever.
  1. To sanitize an area of your floor, use the microfiber mop pad and slowly and evenly move machine back and forth at least three times over the area using continuous steam. Remove the mop pad after use and wash.
  1. When finished cleaning, turn the machine OFF by pressing the power button.
    Unplug the unit.

*Kills 99.9% of Human Coronavirus (Strain 229E), Influenza A Virus (H1N1), Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Aspergillus niger when used as directed. Testing conducted in a third-party laboratory under controlled conditions. Results may vary.

Using the SpotBoost™ Scrubbing Steam Brush for Tough Messes

  1. Step on the pedal on the back of the machine, lifting up and away from the mop foot to expose the SpotBoost Brush.
  1. Move back and forth to easily clean grout, crevices and scrub away stuck-on or sticky messes.
Tip: Turn off the machine before and after using SpotBoost Brush to prevent from coming into contact with steam.

Using Carpet Refresher Tray
Note: Always be sure a mop pad is in place before placing in carpet refresher tray. Only soft mop pads should be used with the carpet refresher. Do not use carpet refresher on spots or stains, or glide it over the same spot for longer than 20 seconds.
This product is not intended to be used as a carpet cleaner, only a carpet refresher. Never attempt to use steam mop on carpet or rugs without the carpet refresher tray in place. Move steam mop with carpet refresher tray attached in a continuous motion until you are finished. DO NOT leave mop in a stationary position.

  1. Place mop head, with soft mop pad attached, in carpet refresher tray.
  1. Refresh carpet or rugs by moving steam mop with carpet refresher tray attached in a continuous back and forth motion and gently glide over carpet or rug, releasing steam as you go.
Note: The steam mop rests in the carpet refresher tray and may pull out. If this happens simply place the mop head back in to the tray.
  1. When your finished refreshing your carpet or rugs, turn the power OFF, unplug the steam mop and remove from carpet or rug.

After-Cleaning Care

  1. Turn OFF and unplug the machine from the grounded outlet.
  1. Carefully remove mop pad using the Quick Grip Release Tab from the mop head. Note: Mop pad, mop foot and lower assembly may be hot.
  1. Mop pads can be machine washed in warm water. Use only non-bleach liquid detergents. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach. For best results, air dry.
  1. Remove the scent disc from the scent disc tray or replace as needed.
  1. Wipe all surfaces of the machine with a soft cloth.
  1. Store upright in a protected, dry area.
