Radio antenna – "FM ANTENNA":
Connect the AM/FM vehicle antenna to this connection. Use the supplied plug adapter if
required.
iPod connection – "IPOD":
An iPod can be linked to the unit via this connection.
Navigation computer – "NAVI CABLE":
A VDO Dayton navigation computer can be linked to the unit via this connection.

Installing the unit

The VRM 6200 can be installed using both the double DIN installation bracket provided and
vehicle-specific installation brackets. Details on both installation methods can be found in
the sections below.

Allow sufficient clearance
for the wiring and ventilation behind the unit,
for extension of the TFT monitor in front of the unit.
Mounting the unit with the DIN installation bracket
1. Insert the installation bracket into the double DIN slot and bend the appropriate metal tabs
inwards using a screwdriver (Fig. 7). Take care not to damage any hidden parts in the dash-
board.
2. Check that all the required leads are connected to the multimedia system.
3. Push the unit into the installation bracket until it engages.

1. Insert the supplied removal tools into the recesses on both sides of the unit until they
engage (1).
2. Pull the unit carefully out of the instrument panel (2) with the removal tools.

Ask your vehicle dealer for suitable vehicle-specific installation brackets and for a matching
panel.
1. Connect the vehicle-specific installation brackets to the unit. Choose a position where the
screw holes of the brackets match those of the unit.
2. Then screw the unit on securely with two screws on each side.

Use only the supplied screws for mounting the installation brackets. Using screws that are too
long could damage components in the unit.

Connecting the unit

Reconnect the battery.
