Demonstration Mode - VDO CD 3300 User Instructions

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
AUTOEQUALIZATION
See 'INSTALLATION' for connection instructions.
This function measures the sound output of your speakers within your car and then optimises
the space so as to create the effect of a hi-fi studio.
• To calibrate:
Ensure that the set is switched off.

A microphone MUST be connected to continue with the procedure!
Position the microphone where you want the sound to be centralized

in your vehicle, for example position 'X'.
Hold down the AUTOEQUALIZER key and turn on the set.

Then press the SOUND button.

Follow the displayed instructions, and leave your car closing the door behind you.
(Don't lock yourself out!).
Once finished (after about 2 minutes) or when no sound is being emitted, re-enter your

car and read the displayed instructions. If EQUALISER OK is shown, disconnect the
microphone. Calibration is now complete. If EQUALISER NOT OK is displayed then redo the
calibrationn procedure from point 1.
Once successfully calibrated:
• Activate/Deactivate autoequalization effects.
If autoequalization has not been performed you hear an error beep.
TEMPERATURE WARNING
You can connect a temperature sensor to this set to give a visible and audible warning
automatically when the outside temperature becomes lower than 3°C. See 'INSTALLATION'
then 'INITIAL SETTINGS' options 'TEMP'.
CLOCK
This set has a clock that can either be manually adjusted by you or can be automatically updated
via the RDS signal. See 'INITIAL SETTINGS' option CLOCK.
The time transmitted via RDS can be wrong.
AUTOMATIC LEVELLER
This ensures that when you change between different stations/wavebands or from radio to CD
playback, that the new volume is neither too loud or too quiet. See 'INITIAL SETTINGS' option
LEVELER.

DEMONSTRATION MODE

In this mode, the display shows the main features of the set.
SWITCHING ON DEMO MODE
While keeping the Display key pressed, switch on the set. Release the Display key when you
see a change in the display. The set remains in the demonstration mode, even if you switch
the set off and then on again.
SWITCHING OFF DEMO MODE
Switch off the set.
Follow exactly the same procedure as 'Switching ON demo mode'.
