Traffic Announcements (TA)

You can activate the TA mode to give priority to
hear announcements related to these subjects
(even if you do not listen to the radio).
This function is only available with RDS on.
Activate/deactivate TA
Press TA button to activate/deactivate TA. When
traffic announcement is selected and information
is received TP appears in the display.
Interrupting Traffic Announcement
If you do not wish to continue listening to a par-
ticular Traffic Announcement mode, you can
interrupt it without switching off the mode.
1. Press TA button once, the set will return to
the previous operating mode.
Note: You can switch off RDS features if not
required.
2. Press the AF/REG button and select the
option OFF.

Advanced RDS Settings

Long press the SEL MENU knob to enter the
advanced RDS settings menu.
TA SEEK or TA ALARM mode
Note: TA must be activated.
TA SEEK mode
If in a newly tuned radio station does not trans-
mit traffic information within 5 seconds, the radio
automatically seeks for a new station that trans-
mits traffic information. In the TA seek mode the
current station can be switched to another sta-
tion if the signal is too weak because the car
radio is searching for TP-stations that have
strong broadcast signals and are transmitting
TP-signal information.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the TA SEEK
mode.
TA ALARM mode
When TP information gets lost at the current
station NO TP TA will flash in the display. To
select the TA ALARM mode:
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the TA ALARM
mode.
MASK DPI or MASK ALL mode
MASK DPI
In the MASK DPI mode, radio on alternative
frequencies (AF) that have different programme
identifiers (PI) will be masked.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob to select
the MASK settings.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select MASK DPI.
MASK ALL
In the MASK ALL mode, radio stations on alter-
native radio frequencies with different pro-
gramme identifiers (PI) and/or without RDS de-
tected will be masked.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob to select
the MASK settings.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select MASK ALL.
PI SOUND or PI MUTE mode
PI SOUND
Note: This function is available with AF activated
only.
In some countries, it is possible of having two
different stations with the same frequencies but
different PI. If this mode is selected, the radio will
switch to the new PI station for a few seconds
and switch back to the current station. To select
the PI SOUND mode:
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the PI SOUND
mode.
PI MUTE
In this mode the radio will be muted, when a new
radio station is received.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the PI MUTE
mode.
RETUNE S or RETUNE L mode
When the signal of the current station becomes
to weak, with these modes the time can be set
how long the radio waits, to seek for an alterna-
tive broadcast station.
RETUNE S
In this mode the waiting time is set to 30 sec-
onds.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the RETUNE S
mode.
RETUNE L
In this mode the waiting time is set to 90 sec-
onds.
1. Long press the SEL MENU knob.
2. Turn the VOL knob to select the RETUNE L
mode.
