The Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephone (DECT) system allows 2-way voice communications amongst staff, both internally and externally if required. In addition, active call information from the Touchsafe Pro Nursecall system can be sent out as text alerts to individuals or groups of staff as required.
  • Page 4: Important Safety Instructions

    2. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read and understand these instructions before use. Refer to the Manufacturers installation and user guides for more information (see section 6). Keep all instructions for future reference. Take care when working on step ladders during installation or service. Isolate the mains supply before removing covers.

NTENTS 4. MAINTENANCE & CARE For peace of mind and to ensure your system is maintained to the highest standard Aidcall recommend an annual Maintenance Contract. This will provide vital assistance in times of need from a nationwide team of trained Service Engineers who specialise in wireless Nursecall systems.
  • Page 6: Dect Overview

    5. DECT OVERVIEW The maximum theoretical range for any DECT system is 500 metres under ideal conditions, in practice the range will rarely exceed 300 metres due to reflections from nearby buildings, trees, water, etc. Obstructions inside buildings such as walls and floors will reduce the range, some construction materials such as foil backed plasterboard, reinforced concrete or stone walls will reduce range further.
