CALL ACTIONS
Answer an Incoming Call
Ending a Call
Call Mute and Unmute
- To mute a call, tap Mute on the touch screen or tap the mute button on the edge of the phone during a call. The mute key LED illuminates solid red.
- To unmute, tap Mute on the touch screen or tap the mute button again to unmute the call.
Call Hold and Resume
- To place a call on hold, tap Hold during a call.
- To resume a call, tap
during a call.
Place an Outbound Call
- Tap Dial, enter the phone number, then tap Send, or
- Tap Directory/History, then tap a desired entry to dial out.
Transfer a Call (Blind Transfer)
- During a call, tap Blind Transfer. The call is placed on hold.
- Enter the number to which you want to transfer or select a contact from Directory or History.
Transfer a Call (Consultative Transfer)
- Tap Transfer during a call. The call is placed on hold.
- Enter the number to which you want to transfer or select a contact from Directory or History.
- Wait for the other party to accept the call.
- Tap Complete Transfer from the prompt box.
- When the party answers, announce the call, then tap Transfer to complete the transfer.
Initiating a Conference Call
- During an active call, tap Add.
- Enter a phone number, then tap the start call button, or select a contact from Directory or History to join into the conference.
- Wait for the other party to answer.
- Tap the Merge Calls button.
- If you wish to add more participants, select the Add Participant button.
Joining Two Calls into a Conference
- Tap
on the Calls screen.
Managing Conference Participants
Tap the name of the desired participant, then:
- If the screen shows a standard call screen instead of a list of participants, tap the Participants button
- Tap Far Mute to mute the participant. The muted participant can hear everyone, but no one can hear the muted participant.
- Tap Hold/Resume to hold/resume the participant.
- Tap the menu on the top left of the screen, then Split to split the participant from the conference.
- Tap Remove to remove the participant from the conference.
Call Recording
You can record audio calls in the phone itself or onto a USB flash drive (if connected).
To record audio calls
- Tap the menu button and select Start Recording.
- To stop recording, tap the Menu key, then Stop Recording. The recording is saved. If you end a call or conference during a recording, the recordings will be saved automatically when ending the call.
- To pause a recording, tap the Menu button, then Pause Recording.
- To resume, tap the Menu button, then Resume Recording.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR PHONE
Adding a Contact
- Tap Contacts from the Home screen.
- Tap
. - Enter the name and number in the respective fields.
- Tap Save to accept the change.
Editing a Contact
- Tap Contacts from the Home screen.
- Tap the desired contact.
Deleting a Contact
- Tap Contacts from the Home screen.
- Tap the desired contact and then tap Delete.
- Tap Delete when the touch screen prompts, "Delete selected item?"
Favoriting a Contact
- Tap Contacts from the Home screen.
- Tap a contact.
- Tap the star button to favorite the contact.
- Note: The process is the same for un-favoriting the contact
Call History
- Tap Recent Calls from the Home screen.
- Drag up and down to scroll.
- Tap
after the desired entry, and then you can do the following: - Tap the green call button to place a call.
- Tap Add to Contacts to add the entry to the local directory.
- Tap the edit button (pen) on the top right to edit the phone number of the entry before placing a call.
- Tap Delete to delete the entry from the list.
Volume Adjustment
- Tap
to adjust the receiver volume during a call. - Tap
to adjust the volume of the ringer. - Tap
to adjust the media volume in the corresponding screen.
