  • Page 28 ® R&S Repair 3 Repair ® This chapter describes the design of the R&S CBT Bluetooth Tester, simple measures for repair and troubleshooting and, in particular, the replacement of modules. For troubleshooting and diagnostics, a maintenance menu is available that can be used to poll diagnostic voltages of the modules and to indicate limit violations.

  • Page 36 ® R&S Repair Troubleshooting Faulty functions may sometimes originate in simple causes, but sometimes they also result from faulty components. These troubleshooting instructions permit to trace faults down to module level and make the instrument ready for use again by means of module adjustment. For the module adjustment and further error elimination, we recommend to send the instrument to our authorized service (see list of addresses at the beginning of this manual).
  • Page 37 ® Repair R&S Troubleshooting Using the Selftest Menu for Modules The selftest menu indicates the diagnostic voltages for the individual modules with exactly defined settings. Thus, a specific selftest of the respective module is possible. This menu additionally provides internal RF power measurements which are designed as RF loops with internal generator and analyzer.
