  • Page 22 The hardware address is also referred to as the Ethernet address or MAC address. The first three bytes of the Ethernet address are fixed and read as 08-04-13, identifying the unit as a Lantronix product. The fourth, fifth, and sixth bytes are unique numbers assigned to each unit.

  • Page 31 To discover a device on the local network: 1. Launch Lantronix Provisioning Manager (lpm). 2. If this is the first time you have launched Lantronix Provisioning Manager, you may need to proceed through an initial setup. 3. Locate the EDS5000 in the device list. The device’s firmware version, serial number, IP address, and MAC address will be shown.

If you do not know the IP address, you can use Lantronix Provisioning Manager. For instructions on using the LPM application see the Lantronix Provisioning Manager online help.
