It is important to read through this User Manual before operating your Top Gun Mobility Powerchair to become familiar with its features as well as its limitations and safety information.

The FlyteMax2 Powerchair has a base with carbon fiber frame, two front wheels, two rear wheels, a seat, two electric motors, an electromagnetic brake, 1 x rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery with an off-board charger.

CONTROLLER PRECAUTIONS ON THE CONTROLLER Note: Adjust the installed position of the joystick controller to protect from any risk of bumping into something or falling. Inspect and adjust the installation of the joystick every six months, or as often as necessary. Contact your local retailer or distributer if the control panel of the joystick controller is abnormal or the joystick malfunctions.

OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT 1. This electric powerchair is not suitable for use in heavy rain, snow, or ice. Contact with water or excessive humidity will lead to electrical failure. WARNING! Avoid malfunction of the powerchair: • Do not place or keep the electric powerchair under direct impact of water (such as heavy rain) or in a very humid environment.

PRECAUTIONS FOR GETTING ON/OFF THE POWERCHAIR Precautions for getting on/off electric Powerchairs When you are ready to sit in the powerchair, please make sure you turn off the power first to avoid accidentally bumping the joystick, resulting in the chair moving unexpectedly. PRECAUTIONS OF BEING ON THE POWERCHAIR BODY PART EXTENDING Body part extending, leaning and stretching will affect the balance of center gravity of the powerchair, which may cause you to fall or turn over with improper operation. Follow the key points below to reduce the risk of physical injury and damage: If changing your body center of gravity (including raising your body sideways or leaving the seat), please don't lean beyond the range of seat cushion of the powerchair.

When reversing, please always slow down. Check from time to time to ensure that there are no obstacles endangering your safety on the road. DRIVING ON INCLINED/SLOPES/HILLSIDES When on the slope, the balance center of gravity of the powerchair will change. Note if it is not sure about the safety of using this powerchair on a slope, please use it with some help, and be sure not to use it alone.

INSTALLATION SETUP Your FlyteMax2 Powerchair will arrive carefully packaged in a cardboard box. Open the top of the box then turn the box on the side for easier pulling out the chair and contents. To expand the FlyteMax2, grasp the push bar and pull up while holding down on the seat to expand the chair and complete the assembly.

Locate the seat cushion and the backrest cushion provided. Orientate the seat cushion such that the rear of the seat and the Velcro on the bottom of the seat cushion aligns with the Velcro on the seat. Install the controller into the open slot on the arm of the chair, on the right side (if needed, the user can change to the left side).

BATTERY SETUP INSTALL THE BATTERY Grasp the battery handle, align the bottom end of the battery with the notch of the battery protection box and insert it. FOLDING AND UNFOLDING Make sure all the attached parts are fastened properly after any adjustment, repair or maintenance, to avoid any damage or injury. While it is necessary to lift to move the powerchair, it is strongly recommended users get off the powerchair first. If the user must stay in the powerchair for lifting and moving at the same time, make sure all safety measures are followed.

WARNING! 1. Never do a sharp turn while at high speed. 2. Unable to follow the " Warning" signs may cause tilting of the powerchair because of injury or product damage. 3. The location of joystick is at lower part of the control panel for controlling the speed and direction smoothly.

Your FlyetMax2 powerchair will arrive with a fully charged battery, which should last about 20km under normal operation conditions. We recommend that you run the FlyteMax2 Powerchair until the battery is completely flat to get the most out of the battery life.

SECOND CHARGING METHOD • Turn off the main power • Flip open the charger port protector on the front of the battery. • Use the secondary charger pigtail to adapt the battery charger to plug into the battery directly. 1. FREE WHEEL MODE To put the FlyteMax2 in Free Wheel Mode, come to a full stop and turn off the power on the controller. Push down on the two red levers located on each motor as shown.

TRASNPORTING THE FLYTEMAX2 Never transport the powerchair in a tie up system (electric mode), as the FlyteMax2 Powerchair is not compatible with them. Never sit in a powerchair and be transported in a moving vehicle. Do not place the folded power powerchair in the front seat with the driver where it can move and slide.

TRANSPORT/CALL OUT COSTS As the owner, you must bear the cost of transporting the unit to the Retailer or should you decide to have the Retailer comes to you, you must bear the cost of the dealer/retailers call out fee. Your dealer/retailer may choose to waive this cost, but this will be at the dealer/retailer’s discretion only and separate to Top Gun Mobility’s warranty terms and conditions.
