How to get out of the wheelchair alone Avoid bending too far down, or sideways, or backward, as there would be a risk of overturning or losing balance especially if the chair has a reduced seat and / or a high seat height (e.g. cushion). Upward Slope Do not hang anything above the backrest or above the armrest. This may cause the chair to tip over. To go up hills, install the anti-tippers. To this end insert the anti-tippers into the rear tube and take care that the safety clip protrudes out of the hole in the back tube, locking the anti-tippers into place.

Stairs – Up and Down When stairs are the only option, once the chair is tilted backwards by a person holding the chair by the handles, rest the rear wheels on the steps. TYRE INFLATION – Only if your wheelchair is equipped with pneumatic tyres. If your Stryker Wheelchair is equipped with pneumatic tyres, check the tyre pressure at least once a week. Proper inflation pressures will prolong the life of your tyres and help ensure smooth operation.

Adjusting footrests – installation, adjustment and removal The Footrests are folding inward for easy transfer. The footrest is adjustable in degrees of inclination. Note: To remove the footrest, squeeze the trigger toward the chair, rotate the footrests outward or inward and raise them.

Fixing system-adjusting rear wheel The fixing-adjustment system is the most important adjustment for the wheelchair because it determines the center of gravity, the rotation of the chair, the degrees of the wheels and the height of the seat.
