REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT
BULBS
Read page 64 (BULBS) carefully.
The headlight accommodates the following
bulbs:
– One high beam bulb (1).
– One low beam bulb (2).
– One parking light bulb (3).
To replace:
Remove the front cover, see page 56
(REMOVING THE FRONT COVER).

LOW BEAM BULBS

CAUTION
1
Do not pull on the wiring to disconnect
the bulb connector.
Grasp the bulb electric connector and
pull to detach it from the bulb.

Rotate the bulb holder anticlockwise and
extract it from its seat in the reflector.
Remove the bulb.

To refit:
NOTE
Fit the bulb into the seat in the
reflector. Ensure the three bulb pegs
become seated in the guides in the
reflector seat.
Place the bulb holder into the reflector
seat and turn it clockwise.
Connect the bulb connector.
NOTE
When refitting the rubber gaiter,
press all round the contour at the positions
marked "PUSH" and ensure that the two
tabs locate correctly. This is to ensure
proper sealing and keep water out.

HIGH BEAM BULBS

Rotate
the
bulb
anticlockwise and extract it from the seat
in the reflector.
CAUTION
To extract the bulb socket/bulb from the
seat, try to avoid damaging the two
tabs.
Remove the bulb.
Replace it with a new one of the same
rating.
Upon reassembly, carry on the same
operations in reverse order.
NOTE
When refitting the rubber gaiter,

marked "PUSH" and ensure that the two
tabs locate correctly. This is to ensure
proper sealing and keep water out.
