PRE-RIDE CHECKS

WARNING
Check the vehicle before each ride to
ensure safe riding. (See the PRE-RIDE
CHECKS CHART). Failure to do so may
lead to severe injury or vehicle damage.
If you have any doubts on the operation of
the vehicle controls or believe that any
vehicle components might be faulty, do not
hesitate to contact an Official aprilia
dealer.
A quick check is done in no time, but does
wonders for your safety.
NOTE
This vehicle provides real-time
diagnostics of failures stored into the
Engine Control Unit.
Each time the ignition key is in the ""
Efi
position, the wording " " (1) appears on
the right side of the multifunction display
for approximately three seconds.

If the wording " " (1) is displayed during
normal engine operation, it means that the
Engine Control Unit has detected an
anomaly.
In most cases, the engine will keep
running, but with reduced performance
levels. At any rate, contact an Official
aprilia dealer immediately.

CAUTION
After covering the first 625 mi (1,000
km) and every 6,250 mi (10,000 km)
afterwards, the "SERVICE" warning (2)
appears on the right display.
When you see this warning, contact an
Official aprilia dealer to have the
v e h i c l e s e r v i c e d a n d i n s p e c t e d
according to the periodic maintenance
chart, see page 68 (PRELIMINARY
CHECKING OPERATIONS CHART). To
cancel the "SERVICE" warning, turn the
key to ON while holding down the "+"
and "-" buttons simultaneously for at
least 15 seconds.
