The occurrence of material damage

NB!
Tilting the appliance wheels can damage the floor when moving the appliance.

  • Transport the device with a hand truck.
  • When moving the device, use a floor protector and do not move in a zigzag manner.

Criteria for the installation location


Risk of explosion!
If the appliance is located in a space that is too small, a flammable gas/air mixture may arise if there is a leak in the cooling circuit.

  • Only install the device in a room with a volume of at least 1 m 3 per 8 g of refrigerant. The amount of refrigerant is stated on the type picture. → "Device", Fig.

Over-and-Under and Side-by-Side setup
If you want to install 2 cooling appliances above or next to each other, you must maintain a minimum distance of 150 mm between the appliances. For certain devices, a setup without minimum distance is possible. Please contact your dealer or kitchen installer for this.

Mounting the device

  • Install the device in accordance with the supplied installation instructions.

Prepare the device for first use

  1. Take out the information material.
  2. Remove the protective film and transport safeguards, e.g. adhesive strips and cardboard.

Shelf

To vary the shelves as desired, you can remove the shelf and place it again in a different position.

Storage drawer

The storage drawer has lower temperatures than the refrigerator compartment. Temperatures below 0°C may occur temporarily.
To achieve temperatures close to 0°C in the storage drawers, set the refrigerator compartment temperature to 2°C. → Set temperature
Use the lower temperatures in the drawer to store quickly perishable food, e.g. fish, meat and sausage.

Vegetable and fruit drawer

Store fresh fruit and vegetables wrapped in the fruit and vegetable drawer.
Store cut fruits and vegetables covered or in an airtight container.
Depending on the type and quantity of food, condensation water may form in the fruit and vegetable drawer.
Remove the condensation water with a dry cloth.

To ensure that the quality and aroma are preserved, store cold-sensitive fruits and vegetables outside the appliance at temperatures of approximately 8°C to 12°C, e.g. pineapple, bananas, citrus fruits, gherkins, zucchini, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes.

Door racks

To vary the door rack as needed, you can remove the door rack and place it again in a different position.

Egg tray
Store eggs safely on the egg tray.

Ice cube tray
Use the ice cube tray to make ice cubes.
Making ice cubes
Only use drinking water to make ice cubes.

  1. Fill the ice cube tray ¾ full with drinking water and place it in the freezer compartment.
    Only loosen a frozen ice cube tray with a blunt object, e.g. a spoon handle.

Operation

Switch on device

  1. Connect the device electrically. → Connect the device electrically

Notes on use

Super cooling

With Super cooling, the refrigerator compartment cools as cold as possible.
Switch on Super Cool before loading large quantities of food.

Remark: When Super Cooling is on, more noise may be produced.

Switch on super cooling

  • Press super cool.

Remark: After approx. 6 hours the device switches to normal operation.

Switch off super cooling

  • Press super cool.

Automatic Super Freeze

With automatic Super Freezing, the freezer compartment cools significantly at a lower temperature than during normal operation. This causes the food to freeze to the core more quickly. The automatic Super Freezing switches on when you place fresh food in the bottom freezer drawer starting from the right.

The automatic Super Freezing is activated at the factory. You can deactivate automatic Super Freezing. When automatic Super Freezing is switched on, super freeze lights up and more sounds may arise. The appliance switches to normal operation after the automatic Super Freeze has expired.

Activate automatic super freezing

  • Super freeze pressed for 5 seconds to hold.

Deactivate automatic super freezing

Manual Super Freeze

With Super Freeze, the freezer compartment cools as cold as possible.

Sabbath Mode

So that you can also use the device on Sabbath, Sabbath mode disables all functions that are not absolutely necessary.

The temperature alarm can activate in the following cases:

Risk of electric shock! Improper installations are dangerous.

  • Only connect and use the device according to the information on the rating plate.

If the ventilation openings of the device are closed, a flammable gas-air mixture may be created if there is a leak in the cold circuit.

Using an extended power cord and unauthorized adapters is dangerous.

  • Do not use extension cords or multiple sockets.
  • Use only adapters and power cords approved by the manufacturer.
  • If the power cord is too short and a longer power cord is not available, contact an electrical specialist to adjust the home installation.

Children can pull packaging material over their heads and become entangled and suffocate.

  • Keep packaging materials away from children.

Risk of explosion!
Damage to the refrigerant circuit can cause flammable refrigerant to leak and explode.

  • To accelerate defrosting, do not use mechanical devices or means other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Loosen frozen food with a blunt object, e.g. a wooden spoon handle.

Products containing flammable propellants and explosive substances can explode, e.g. aerosol cans.

  • Do not store products with flammable propellants and explosive substances in the device.

Risk of fire!
Electrical appliances inside the appliance can cause a fire, e.g. heaters or electric ice makers.

  • Do not use electrical appliances inside the appliance.


Risk of injury!
Bottles or cans containing carbonated drinks may burst.

  • Do not store bottles or cans of carbonated drinks in the freezer compartment.

Eye injuries due to leaking flammable refrigerant and harmful gases.

  • Do not damage the pipes of the refrigerant circuit and the insulation.

The device may tip over.

  • Do not stand or lean on the baseboard, drawers or doors.


Risk of burns! Parts on the back of the device become hot during use.

  • Never touch the hot parts.


Risk of cold burns! Contact with frozen food and cold surfaces can lead to cold burns.

  • Never put frozen food in your mouth after it has been removed from the freezer compartment.
  • Avoid prolonged skin contact with frozen food, ice and freezer compartment surfaces.


Risk of health hazard! Observe the following instructions to prevent food contamination.

  • Opening the door for a longer period of time can lead to a significant temperature increase in the compartments of the appliance.
  • Regularly clean surfaces that come into contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
  • Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator so that it does not come into contact with or drip onto other food.
  • If the refrigerator/freezer is empty for a long period of time, switch off the appliance, defrost, clean it and leave the door open to prevent mold formation.

Parts in the device made of metal or with a metallic appearance may contain aluminum. When acidic foods come into contact with aluminum, aluminum ions can transfer to the food.

  • Do not consume contaminated food.

Damaged device

A damaged device or power cord is dangerous.

  • Never use a damaged device.
  • Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the device from the mains. Always pull the plug on the power cord.
  • If the device or the power cord is damaged, immediately unplug the power cord from the socket or switch off the fuse in the meter cupboard.

  • Only trained specialist personnel may carry out repairs on the device.
  • Only original spare parts may be used to repair the device.
