What's in the box


Headphones can ONLY use Avantree HT280 original batteries. Any other rechargeable batteries will NOT work.

Use with TV/AV Receiver

  1. Connect the Tower to a Power Source
    Connect the tower to power using the AC Adapter
    Use with TV/AV Receiver - Step 1
  2. Connect the Tower to your TV/AV Receiver
    Locate the AUDIO OUTPUT port on your TV/AV Receiver, connect it to the back of the tower using the corresponding cable, and switch the Audio In Select on transmitter to proper position.

  3. FOLLOW THE STEPS here to Power on everything.
    TV — Headphone — Transmitter Tower
    1. Turn on TV
    2. Press and hold until flash Green
      Use with TV/AV Receiver - Step 3
    3. Slide to ON
    4. turn SOLID GREEN once connected
      Use with TV/AV Receiver - Step 4
  4. If NO SOUND, go to your Settings MENU
    Go into your TV's SETTINGS MENU, set the audio output format to either PCM or Stereo. If there's an option for Dolby, please select anything that's NOT DOLBY.

Do NOT use your own batteries, they won't work. Please ONLY use the Avantree HT280 Batteries.

How to Use 2 or More Headphones on the HT280

  1. Turn on the original HT280, they will auto — connected. Make sure that there's audio coming through.
  2. Take the other headphone(s) that you'd like to connect. With the headphone powered OFF, press & hold the button until the indicator (close to ) starts flashing RED and GREEN rapidly.
  3. Turn the Tower OFF and turn it back on. Give it a few seconds, once connected, the indicator (close to ) on the headphone will turn SOLID GREEN.

Reconnect on your Next Use
For your next use, please:

  1. Turn on your TV/Audio source,
  2. Turn on all the headphones, and
  3. Turn off and back on the tower. They should all automatically reconnect.

Troubleshooting

If headphone fail to reconnect to the transmitter dock, try the following:

  1. Ensure your TV is turn on and there's audio coming into the dock. Then turn off your headphone and the transmitter dock, and follow THIS ORDER to turn them on:
    Headphone > TV >Transmitter Dock. Indicator should then turn SOLD GREEN.
  2. If the method above still failed, try manually reconnecting them:
    1. Turn off both the headphone & the dock.
    2. Press and hold on the headphone until starts to flash RED and GREEN rapidly.
    3. Turn the dock back on.

Give it a few seconds, once connected, will turn SOLD GREEN.


No Sound?

  • "Audio in Select" Switch on the Transmitter in proper position?
  • Indicator on the Headphone SOLID GREEN? Needs to be SOLID GREEN to work.
  • Still no sound? Look up "TV No Sound" on support.avantree.com.
