8.1 Introduction

This chapter explains how to use the additional functions that are provided
with the L770DRC Plus and L1260DRC Plus Combined Fishfinder/
Chartplotter units. Chart functions are also available on L770D Plus and
L1260D Plus fishfinder-only units, when connected to an
device with chartplotter functionality (see Section 2.9, Integrated Systems).
This chapter covers the following topics:
• Measuring distances and bearings on the chart, using the VRM/EBL key
• Setting alarms and timers
• Man Overboard (MOB)
• Cursor Echo
• Radar Overlay
• GPS Setup
• Data Log Mode
In order to use some of these functions, you may need the following additional
data from equipment connected to your system via a SeaTalk,
