POWER switch
Press to switch the player on or off (pages 19, 23, and
27).

Remote sensor
Point the remote control toward the remote sensor to
operate the player (page 8).

Display window
Displays system information (page 10). Press FL OFF
on the front panel or DIMMER (FL) on the remote
control to adjust the brightness of the display window
(page 13).

DVD indicator
Lights when a DVD-Audio disc or DVD-Video disc is
loaded in the player. Does not light when a disc
format other than DVD is loaded in the player.

3 (play) button
Press to start or resume playback (pages 23 and 26).

8 (pause) button
Press during playback to pause (page 46).
¢ (forward) button

Press to advance to chapters, tracks, etc. (page 25).
4 (reverse) button

Press to go back to previous chapters, tracks, etc.
(page 25).

7 (stop) button
Press to stop playback. Pressing once enables
playback to resume from a point shortly before the
location where it stopped. (page 26).
0 (open/close) button
Press to open and close the disc tray when stopped
(pages 23 and 26).

Disc door/Disc tray
When loading a disc, place in the disc tray with the
label side facing up (pages 23 and 26).

FL DIMMER button/indicator
Press to change the brightness of the Display
windows and disc illumination in four steps:
maximum brightness, medium brightness, minimum
brightness, and off. When the Display window is on
maximum brightness, the FL DIMMER indicator on
the front panel is off.

Video Off button/indicator
Switches the video signal output on/off
AUTO: If there is a video signal from a loaded disc,
video is output. If there is no signal from the
disc or there is no disc loaded, no video signal
is output.
OFF:
No video signal is output.
ON:
Video signal is output.
When OFF is selected, the indicator lights.

DIGITAL DATA OFF button/indicator
Switches the digital output on/off. When switched
off, the indicator lights (page 30).
