    MVP-5200 Series Getting Started 4.1 Package Contents Before unpacking, check the shipping carton for any damage. Obtain authorization from your dealer before returning any product to ADLINK.

    4.3 Mounting the MVP-5200 Series 4.3.1 Install a Solid-State Drive (SSD) Follow these steps to install a solid-state drive (SSD). 1. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the bottom cover foot pads and screws as shown.
  • Page 41 MVP-5200 Series 2. Lift off the rear cover to remove it. 3. Loosen the 4 setscrews, and then pull the SSD tray to remove it.
  • Page 42 4. Use the included M3 screws to attach a 2.5" SSD to the tray. 5. Align the SSD bracket using the guide pins, and then gently push the drive assembly into the SATA connector on the PCB. Tighten the 4 setscrews to lock the SSD into place.
  • Page 43 MVP-5200 Series 4.3.2 Install SODIMM Memory Follow these steps to install SODIMM memory. 1. Make sure the SODIMM connectors are clear of any thermal pads. 2. Attach the included thermal pads to the main board under the location of the SODIMM modules. Make sure the thermal pads DO NOT contact the connector pins.

    MVP-5200 Appendix B BIOS Setup The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is a program that provides a basic level of communication between the processor and peripherals. In addition, the BIOS also contains codes for various advanced features applied to the MVP-5200. The BIOS Setup program includes menus for configuring settings and enabling features of the MVP-5200.

    MVP-5200 Appendix C Watchdog Timer (WDT) Func- tion Library This appendix describes use of the watchdog timer (WDT) func- tion library for the MVP-5200 controller. The watchdog timer is a hardware mechanism provided to reset the system if the operating system or an application stalls.
