• When attaching the ink cassette, if it does not catch in
place when inserted, manually rotate the ink sheet reel
slightly as described below and try again.
Ink sheet
Rotate the reel on the other side in the direction of
the arrow to take up the slack of the ink sheet.
• Have you inserted the ink cassette as far as it will go?
⇒ Insert the ink cassette all the way in.
• Does the ink sheet have slack?
⇒ Flatten out the ink sheet.
• Have you inserted the paper cassette as far as it will go?
⇒ Insert the paper cassette all the way in.
• Does the size of paper and ink cassette match?
⇒ Make sure that the paper and ink cassette sizes
match.
• Have you been printing continuously or printing when
the room temperature is high?
⇒ Printing operations may temporarily halt in order
to keep the internal temperature of the printer from
rising. The PRINT lamp will change to lit status at this
time. This is not a malfunction. Please wait until the
internal temperature of the printer goes down.
• Has the ink in the ink cassette run out?
⇒ Replace the ink cassette.
• Printing will require additional time when printing more
than 2 sheets in succession or when the surrounding
temperature is high.
• The printer makes noise when the ink and paper are
being fed out during printing. This is normal.

Cause and Remedy
Make sure that the side of
the ink cassette with an arrow
symbol is facing upward.
Rotate the reel on this side
approximately 90 degrees in
the direction of the arrow and
allow the ink sheet to slacken
slightly.
