    SAFETY INFORMATION Safe riding 1. Always perform the pre-operation inspection before driving. 2. The scooter should not be used by anyone who does not hold a valid driving license. 3. Many accidents involve motorcycles not seen by other drivers, so please pay attention to the following: •...

The installation of the accessories must not affect the suspension travel, the light position and the steering angle. 2.     MAIN COMPONENTS MAIN SWITCH / STEERING LOCK The main switch/steering lock controls the ignition and lighting systems and is also used to lock the steering wheel. The switch can be turned to the following positions: “ ” - All electrical circuits are supplied with power and the motor is active. The key cannot be removed.

    MAIN COMPONENTS DASHBOARD UNIT Left turn signal indicator lamp (1) The left turn signal indicator lamp flashes whenever the turn signal switch is pushed to the left side. High beam indicator (2) Indicates that the high beam switch is in ON position. READY indicator (3) This indicator lights when you press the button on the right switch to release the engine to move forward.
  • Page 15 MAIN COMPONENTS Speedometer (7), odometer (8) and ODO indication (9) The dashboard unit is equipped with a speedometer and an odometer. The speedometer shows the riding speed. The odometer (ODO) shows the total distance traveled. Battery charge indicator (10) This symbol lights when the battery is charging. Battery level gauge (11) The battery level gauge indicates the power remaining before re-charging is required.

    MAIN COMPONENTS HANDLEBAR SWITCHES - LEFT Low/High beam switch (1) Set the switch to position for the high beam. Set the switch to position for the low beam. Turn signal switch (2) Push this switch to position to signal a left-hand turn or to position to signal a right-hand turn.

    MAIN COMPONENTS HANDLEBAR SWITCHES - RIGHT 1. Hazard lights switch When you press this switch the taillight is turned on and the operation of the throttle is cut-off. 2. Light switch This switch can be set so that the headlight is always on or it functions as a light switch, depending on the version.

    MAIN COMPONENTS POWER SWITCH The power switch is installed under the seat area of your vehicle. This switch can shut down the main power supply. It can be activated in ON position, if you want to activate the battery. Power switch If you want to turn off the power switch of the vehicle, set the switch to OFF position.

    MAIN COMPONENTS FRONT BRAKE LEVER The front brake lever is located on the right handlebar grip. To apply the front brake, pull this lever towards the grip. REAR BRAKE LEVER The rear brake lever is located on the left handlebar grip. To apply the rear brake, pull this lever towards the grip.

    MAIN COMPONENTS Seat To open the seat, use the lock at the rear side of the vehicle. Turn the key counterclockwise to open the seat and have access to the luggage compartment. CAUTION Do not press the key down when turning the key. To close the seat, lower the seat and push the rear part of the seat until you hear a clicking sound.

    MAIN COMPONENTS Luggage box The luggage box (1) is located under the seat. Its maximum loading capacity is 5kg. CAUTION The luggage box is heated by the sun. Additionally, it is not entirely waterproof. Do not keep sensitive or valuable items inside the compartment. USB socket The USB socket is located on the left side of the vehicle.

    MAIN COMPONENTS Front hook Use this hook to hang your helmet or light weight parts. CAUTION Do not exceed the maximum load of 1kg for the front hook. Top case A top case is fitted on your vehicle to store your helmet or other items. CAUTION Do not exceed the maximum load of 5 kg.

    MAIN COMPONENTS Smart key (depending on the version) 1. LOCK Press this button once to activate the alarm function. You will listen to 2 beeps. If you press twice then the alarm system starts ringing. 2. UNLOCK Press this button once to deactivate the alarm system. 3.

    BATTERY INFORMATION BATTERY This model can carry a 60V 20AH Li-ion battery or a 60V 20AH lead acid battery (depending on version). Only one battery is provided with the purchase of your scooter. An optional battery can be purchased for extended range. The battery is positioned under the luggage box.

    BATTERY INFORMATION • The scooter includes a safe mode: as the battery discharges, the vehicle’s maximum speed drops in order to help the driver reach his destination. With 9% of battery life remaining, the scooter’s maximum speed will be reduced to 20km/h. It is recommended that you charge the battery before it runs into this reserve.

    OPERATION AND DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS ACTIVATING THE MOTOR 1. Ensure that the parking brake is off. 2. Set the R-N-D switch to N-mode. 3. Turn the main switch to the ON position to activate the motor. The Meter Display will turn on. 4.

    PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR TYRES To maximize the performance, durability and safe operation of your vehicle, always check the tyre pressure. Cracks, damage and wear on the tyres cause unsteady steering or even tyre blow-out. Note that the tyre pressure is measured with cold tyres, ideally when the temperature of the tyres equals the ambient temperature.

    PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR Rim and Tyre information Rim and tyre dimensions are shown in the following table: Front -> Rim: 2.15 x10’’ Tyre: 3.00-10’’ Rear -> Rim: 2.15 x10’’ Tyre: 3.00-10’’ Type: tubeless Rims The rims must be checked before each ride. If any damage is observed, then replace the rim immediately. Do not attempt even the minimum repair to the wheel.

    CAUTION There should be no free play at the brake lever end. If there is free play, contact your Nipponia local dealer. A soft or spongy feeling in the brake lever can indicate the presence of air in the hydraulic system. If there is air in the hydraulic system, have a dealer bleed the system before operating the motorcycle.

    PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR Front brake pads Each front brake pad is provided with wear indicators, which allows you to check the brake pad wear without having to disassemble the brake. To check the brake pad wear, check the position of the wear indicators while applying the brake.

Mixing fluids may result in harmful chemical reaction and lead to poor braking performance. • Be careful that water does not enter the master cylinder when refilling. Water will significantly lower the boiling point of the fluid and may result in vapor lock.

    TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING Although the vehicles receive a thorough inspection before shipment from the factory and again prior to delivery to you, trouble may occur during operation. However, should your vehicle require any repair, take it to a dealer, whose skilled technicians have the necessary tools, experience, and know-how to service the vehicle properly.

    CLEANING AND STORAGE CLEANING THE VEHICLE Maintaining the vehicle clean, apart from keeping it attractive, will extend its lifespan and optimize performance. Before cleaning Close all caps, covers, electrical connectors that are well installed, so water can be avoided getting into. Remove the battery while you do the cleaning job.

    CONSUMER INFORMATION VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) Please write down the VIN (vehicle identification number) to order spare parts or in case the vehicle is stolen. VIN is stamped on the main front tube of the frame. To see the VIN, remove the VIN cover. CAUTION VIN is used to identify your motorcycle and may be used to register your vehicle with the licensing authority in your area.
