SETTING UP THE
1)
Prepare a suitable, level location for your new fountain. Set the fountain Basin on this location with
the Cord Exit Notch at the back.
2)
Thread the smallest adapter into the
pump top. Press the shortest tube onto the
pump. Push the other end of this tube onto a
side end of the barbed tee. Attach the other
tubes to the other legs of the tee and slip the
flow restrictors into the middle of these two
tubes, tightening just enough to hold the
restrictors in place. (You can tighten the
restrictors later if you want to lessen your
fountain's water flow.) Once this assembly is
done, set the pump down in the basin's pump
reservoir as shown and drape the tubes over the
front of the reservoir wall. The pump's power
cord should exit out the back Cord Exit Notch.
3)
Place one of the lights in the front of the
basin floor. Feed its power cord back through
the
Light Access Hole and out over the Cord Exit
Notch.
4)
Now, prepare the fountain Top piece by placing the other two lights in the two holes designed for
them. (The top hole should be a little tighter than the lower one.) Run the light power cords down through
the holes and out the bottom. Then, install the Slotted Adapters under each hole by carefully placing the
power cord in the slot of the adapter and threading into the cast-in coupling.
5)
With the help of another person, hold the fountain Top over the Basin. Push the two open ends of the
water tubes onto the barbs of the slotted adapters. Make sure to connect the tube from the tee's straight-thru
flow to the barbed adapter under the highest part of the Top piece, as the drawing shows. Then carefully set
the Top on the Basin and check to make sure it is level. The light power cords from the Top piece should be
pulled out the back through the Cord Exit Notch.
6)
A compact three-way electrical adapter has been provided to conveniently connect your lights to the
transformer. As long as all of its connection ports are sealed by the waterproof nuts on the end of the light
cords or with the caps provided, it will remain water proof and can be placed either out in the weather or even
in the pump reservoir with the pump and water. Carefully connect all three light power cords to this adapter
and connect the 16' extension cable to the fourth port. Tighten all the nuts snug, without over-tightening. The
extension cable can then reach out to connect to your transformer.
7)
Read your pump and light instructions. Fill the bottom bowl with water. Then plug in the pump and
the light transformer to enjoy your fountain. If the pump does not immediately begin working, there may be
