Ice on my coils

Ice on the coils of a Shinco SDZ1-120P dehumidifier could be caused by a failure of the automatic defrost function. While the compressor and fan may still operate, if the unit does not defrost, ice will build up on the coils, blocking airflow and preventing effective dehumidification. This issue can become routine and render the unit ineffective.

I hooked up the hose I recently purchased. There is no blockage or leaks. end is lower than hookup. water still fills bucket. Is it possible the hose connection could be too tight?
