Installation and starting up Changing the battery To insert or change the battery, disconnect the power supply from the mains socket if in use. Turn over the device, press lightly on the battery compartment cover and slide it downwards in the direction of the arrow. Remove the cover. Insert/replace the 9V block battery in line with the polarity markings and push the cover back into its original position until it engages.
