To remove and insert a battery, complete the following steps:

Read all the manufacturer's documentation for the new drive.
Close all programs.
Remove all diskettes and CDs.
From the Windows Taskbar, click the Start button, click Shut Down, select
Shut Down, then click OK.
Unplug the computer power cord from the electrical outlet.
Disconnect all cables and power cords from the back of the computer.
Remove the computer cover.
To remove the battery, push in the direction of arrow 1 then lift the battery out
as shown by arrow 2.
