Cleaning Parts of the pump that do not come in contact with breastmilk do not require cleaning on each use. Clean these parts prior to the first use per instructions below and again whenever you see necessary. All other parts, which do come in contact with breastmilk, are cleaned and sanitised per instructions. -

Preparing to express Insert the breast shield into the valve base. Push the breast shield in as far as it will go. Insert the valve into the valve base from underneath. Push the valve in as far as it will go. Screw the valve base clockwise onto the bottle until it is securely fastened. -

Preparing to express Place the membrane into the valve base from above. Make sure it fits securely around the rim by pressing down with your fingers to ensure it seals completely. Press the Motor unit to the end of the membrane until it clicks into place. -

Operating the breast pump Wash your hands with soap and water, dry them thoroughly before assembling parts for expressing. Relax in a comfortable chair. Position the breast shield against your breast. Make sure that your nipple is centred so that breast shield creates an airtight seal. Press the On/Off/Mode button. - Page 11 Operating the breast pump Stimulation mode will run for two minutes and then automatically change to the Expression mode used when the pump was last turned off. If you feel the letdown sooner, or when breastmilk begins to flow, press On/Off/Mode button once to change from Stimulation to Expression mode.
