Convention: bizhub vCare is the US brand used by KMBS for Konica Minolta’s worldwide CS Remote Care System (CSRC). Overview: The settings entered into the CS Remote Care section of the bizhub are intended to do the following: 1.
  • Page 3 A. Administrative Requirements Prior to MFP Email Setup 1. The MFP’s Email address and Email server information MUST be obtained prior to setting up the MFP for Email Communication. B. MFP-Specific Requirements The technician performing the Email setup must have the following information from the vCare administrator before visiting the customer: 1.
  • Page 4 D. Check Date and Time in Administrator Mode 1. Press Utility/Counter button -> Press 3 Administrator settings on the touchscreen 2. Enter Administrator password, as required. (Default = 12345678) 3. Press [1. System Setting] -> [3. Date/Time Setting] 4. Enter Year, Month [Monthly on touchscreen], Day [Daily] Hour and Minutes. Note: Set Date will be displayed, if MFP is configured to communicate with NTP Network Time Protocol server.

Example of Successful Communication Test Note: A “Connected” message indicates that engine sent a test Email to the Email server. When the message changes to “Completed” this indicates that the message was received by the Email server.

  • Page 10 E. Configure Sending Communication Schedule 1. Select Detail settings ->Basic Setting –> Schedule. a. Please select Enable -> Day -> 1 will be the default -> Set. Note: Do not forget to press ‘Set’ button after setting the communication schedule. The MFP will send meter notification when its clock read 00:00 (Midnight) when it is normal or sleep mode.
