INSTALLATION OF DUOX PLUS DEVICES 2.1 ASSEMBLY AND WIRING OF THE ENTRANCE PANEL Entrance panels are available in all FERMAX styles: Marine (vandal-proof), Cityline (continuous profile) and Skyline (modular). The panels can be classified according to their operation (how the call is made) and intrinsic characteristics of the model, they can be: •...

    Digital (keypanel+display) Push buttons Direct (keypanel) 2.1.1 MARINE and CITYLINE panels These are continuous profile panels with the elements already mounted. In the case of the Marine, the panel is made of 316L stainless steel and is vandal-proof (IP65 IK09). MARINE/CITYLINE panel by PUSH BUTTONS In the case of the Marine and Cityline panels, the addressing depends on the connection of the Call Extension Module Ref.

    MARINE/CITYLINE DIGITAL panel The digital panels consist of a DUOX PLUS Digital Display connected to the amplifier via the CN1 and from the display connected to a keypad via the CN4. 2.1.2 SKYLINE panels Skyline panels are modular, the components are hooked into the frame according to the desired design and are interconnected using the connectors of each element.

    2.3 ASSEMBLY AND WIRING OF THE INDOOR TERMINALS The indoor terminals are responsible for receiving the call from the amplifier and establishing communication with the outdoor panel, they can be Telephones (audio only) or monitors, also available with Wifi version to be able to have call divert to the Blue application.
  • Page 11 The connector is anchored to the wall in the desired manner through the holes provided, there is a wide variety to cover the most common flush-mounted boxes, and then the monitor is installed. Telephones: The telephones are installed directly on the wall by using of the holes provided. The telephones have internal connectors for the connection to the DUOX PLUS BUS.

    2.4 CONNECTION OF POWER SUPPLIES The power supplies are responsible for supplying the necessary voltaje to the elements of the DUOX PLUS installation. The system uses 24 Vdc. The device can be screwes to the units or DIN rail installated (DIN-10). The power supply unit Ref.

    2.5.3 Decoders The Decoders are intermediate devices of a DUOX PLUS installation capable of extending the capacities of the system, allowing to increase connection distances of terminals in derivation, to increase the number of connected devices, to isolate against signal reflections. Both Decoders have the same characteristics.

    3. DEVICE PROGRAMMING DUOX PLUS devices require programming before they can be used. They will not work without programming. The amplifier is responsible for making the call to the terminal address. The call made at the outdoor panel is sent over the bus and received at the called terminal; when the called terminal answers, a communication channel is established between the outdoor panel and the indoor terminal.
  • Page 16 Example 1: A panel configured as a Block, when making a call, will set the first two digits with its Block number. Thus, a panel configured as Block 01 will be able to call the flats whose address starts with 01XXXX (from 010001 to 019999). Example 2: A panel configured as a Sub-Block, will set the Block number and the Sub-Block number.

    The panels with address “0” of each block will allow communication with the telephones when they are picked up or with the monitors if the “autoon” is carried and the communication channel is free. If this functionality is not desired, it is not necessary to leave panels with this address.

    3.3. PROGRAMMING THE INDOOR TERMINALS If the terminals are connected to a decoder, [Section: 3.5 Programming Decoders] be followed. The apartment terminals can also be programmed via the concierge [Section: 3.6 Concierge Programming]. Programming the monitors from the monitor An address must be assigned to the monitor. This can be done from the monitor itself or from the panel.

  • Page 24 It is advisable to deactivate the MASTER panel after finishing the terminal configuration to avoid accidental terminal reprogramming. The telephones and monitors will remain in programming mode for 2.5 mins once activated. In any installation there can only be one MASTER panel at a time. When a panel is configured as MASTER, it notifies the rest of the installation and if there was previously one so configured, it will automatically cease to be so.

    Set DIPSWITCHES 1 (MULTI) and 2 (PROG.ON) to ON. DIPSWITCH 3 must be ON if you want to program the SUB-BLOCK and OFF if you want to program the BLOCK. When the regenerator enters in programming mode the POWER led flashes rapidly until the block/sub-block number is programmed. To program the address you have to make a call from the panel of that block or an auto switch on or press F1 from a monitor of that block/sub-block, when the Regenerator is programmed the POWER LED starts flashing slowly.
  • Page 29 Selection of the programming mode The decoder has two operating modes, sequential or open. We will configure them according to the needs. - Sequential mode: - > minidip number 8 of the DECODER dipswitch is set to OFF. In this mode the programmed address of each output will be stored consecutively to the selected programming start address.

    3.6. PROGRAMMING GUARD UNIT A maximum of 10 Guard Units can be installed as General Entrance and 10 per Interior Block. It is not possible to transfer calls between guard units.
