  • Page 3 Installation procedure with HCU B2 control units Picture 1: Yacht Controller interface IMPORTANT: In this version of the Supremo or Maximo central unit, there is not any engines module. The connection with the interface is through the serial plug connected to the central unit connector 1.
  • Page 4 2. Connect the just disconnected cables to the cables coming from Yacht Controller interface. 3. Connect the other end of the cables coming from the Yacht Controller interface to the connectors labeled “Joystick” of the HCU control unit. 4. Connect the black cable of the Yacht Controller interface to the central unit serial connector “1”, according to the connection scheme in picture 3.
  • Page 5 2. Connect the cables just disconnected to the cables coming from Yacht Controller interface, restoring the connection (or communication). 3. Connect the other end of the Yacht Controller interface cables to the cables coming from the "Steering & Joystick" connectors 6 of the HCU control units.

    One green LED and one red report the serial communication. Optional settings ATTENTION: It is recommended NOT to modify the configuration of the Yacht Controller interface DIP switches whose function is not known, as this could cause malfunction of the interface itself.

  • Page 8: Troubleshooting

    Turn on the Volvo engine control units. All green LEDs of engine control blink Deactivated. Waiting for connection with the Supremo once per second. or Maximo central unit. The green communication LED blink. Solution: Turn on the central unit.
