  • Page 2 FEEDING Fuel mixture 102RON (min 98RON) and 4,5% oil (CIK-homologated). We suggest: - ELF HTX 909 - WLADOIL K 2T GEARBOX LUBRIFICATION The engine is supplied without oil in the gearbox. GEARBOX OIL CHARGING Before using, fill the gearbox through the fill-in hole on the crankcase 230 ml gearbox oil SAE 75W (ELF HTX 740) or eventually motor oil SAE 10W50.

    COOLING SYSTEM CONNECTIONS CONNECT THE SYSTEM AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE FROM THE CYLINDER HEAD PIPE FITTING TO THE CRANKCASE PIPE FITTING Once the system is filled (with pure water), provide a complete air venting by opening the vent screw onto the cylinder head. Although it is possible to have a cooling circuit even without thermostat, we recommend the use of a 3 way-thermostat (opening temperature 48°C±2°C), as shown on the drawing, especially during the wintertime.

    ELECTRIC SYSTEM ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS The engine is provided with analogical ignition where the advance is normally set to 1.60mm before the T.D.C. The spark is when the markings on the rotor and stator are aligned. It is absolutely important to connect the coil to the crankcase with the copper braid, to provide adequate grounding.

    Drill the exhaust Ø4.2 and thread M5 for a threaded sensor STEERING-WHEEL CLUTCH LEVER SETTING Since the IAME clutch is equipped with a gradual engagement system, it needs a longer handle stroke to disengage completely. When setting the lever stroke and cable clearance, we recommend pulling completely the clutch handle and to check that the clutch is completely disengaged (free rotation of the clutch plate by hand).
  • Page 7 0.06÷0.07mm. (0.07mm is suggested with cold temperatures) The piston replacement must be done at specific intervals. IAME suggests the piston replacement after 30lt of fuel (3h), or when the piston clearance is higher than 0.09mm. For non-competitive use, you must change the piston at 60lt of fuel (6h) or when the piston clearance is higher than 0.11mm.

    MAINTENANCE INTERVALS The estimated life of engine’s components may vary in function of the engine use MAIN BEARINGS With roller bearings, the replacement is suggested only after a full sporting season. CONROD BIG END CAGE, CRANKPIN AND WASHERS For competition we suggest the replacement every 90tl (9h). In non-competitive use the replacement can be made every 120lt (12h).
