This procedure provides a start-up for the site engineer to successfully optimise the operation of the product in order to meet the safety requirements. Generally, the door will be pre-configured by Boon Edam and is almost ready for use after proper installation. User programmable settings have been set to their default values and most of them need no further adjustment.

Check that the EBS operates in the correct area and that the EBS keeps on working till the trailing edge of the turning wall has passed the SRB. The area in which the EBS is active can be enlarged by giving the EBS position a positive value in the “Positioning” section. Appendix Generally, the door will be pre-configured by Boon Edam and is almost ready for use after proper installation. User programmable settings have been set to their default values and most of them need no further adjustment. However the following procedure will ensure a proper operation of the door after installation.
Setting the speed Adjust the speed to the required setting. The maximum speed recommended by Boon Edam for the Duotour is 0.6 m/s. Tests have proven that a pre-set speed of max. 0.6 m/s, in combination with a properly installed and adjusted CE safety package, ensures that the dynamic forces stay within permissible levels.
DIP-switch 3 must be switched ON for both rotating EBS sensors. This will set them to a different frequency than the stationary EBS sensors to avoid the possibility of ghosting. DIP-switch 4 must be switched ON for all EBS sensors. Page: Quick Start-up Guide Version: 2014/05/20 Duotour Edition: DT-QSG-UK...

The purpose of the measurements is to ensure that the safety of the Boon Edam revolving door is in compliance with the European standard. The results of the measurement are to be registered by the site engineer in accordance with the attached "Commissioning Checklist".
All safety buffers and presence sensors fitted on the door must be operational during the measurement. The measurement for each distance should be carried out 3 times to get a reliable result. This brings the total number of measurements to nine for each door. Page: Quick Start-up Guide Version: 2014/05/20 Duotour Edition: DT-QSG-UK...
