activated so you will not be able to select a target temperature. The
current room temperature will be indicated on the display (7).
8. In heater mode and fan mode, the power setting ("HEAT 1–2 / "FAN"1–
4) can be adjusted by pressing the power setting buttons (11). The dis-
play indicates the settings in the form of bars. Press "+" to increase the
desired power setting or "-" to reduce it. After a few seconds without
any input, the current room temperature will appear on the display.
9. For optimum distribution of air from left to right, activate the horizontal
swing function (12). Together with the vertical swing function, this will
create 3D air circulation throughout the whole room. Press the swing
mode button (12) again if the appliance is to remain at a certain angle.
10. Activate swing mode by pressing the vertical swing mode button 13).
The appliance now swings at an angle of approx. 80° to ensure optimum
distribution of cooling air throughout the room. Press the swing mode
button (13) again if the appliance is to remain at a certain angle.
11. By pressing the timer button (14) you can set an operating period of be-
tween 1 – 7 hours. The selected period of time will be shown on the LCD
display (7). Press the button once to set an operating period of 1 hour,
twice for 2 hours, etc. At the end of the chosen length of time, the device
will switch off automatically.
12. You can connect Alex to the "Stadler Form" or the "Smart Life – Smart
Living" app from Tuya Inc. (available in the App Store and via Google
Play) on your smartphone by pressing the Wi-Fi button (18) for 3 sec-
onds. The Wi-Fi symbol shown on the display of the remote control (7)
indicates an active connection between the device and your smart-
phone. All the device's functions can be controlled from anywhere and
the room temperature can be monitored in real time via an app. More
detailed information on connecting the device to your smartphone can
be found in the enclosed "Wi-Fi – Quick Setup Guide" or on our website:

13. Press the On/Off button (6) to switch off the device. In heater mode, the
fan will stay on for a short time on the lowest setting in order for the
heating element to cool down. The device stores the selected target
temperature and power setting.
14. Protection against overheating: the appliance is equipped with over-
heating protection which switches off the appliance in the event of a
technical fault or improper use (the ventilator continues to run for some
time at the lowest level to cool down the appliance). Should this occur,
rectify the fault or cease the improper use (e.g. 50 cm space around the
appliance, do not cover the appliance, set the appliance up in an upright
position). Once the appliance has cooled down it can be put back into
service.
15. You can change the temperature display from Celsius to Fahrenheit and
vice versa by pressing the "+" and "-" temperature selector buttons (10)
simultaneously.
16. If you are not going to be using the device on a daily basis, switch it off
using the main switch (2) on the back of the housing.
Cleaning
Prior to any maintenance, cleaning and after each use, switch off the appli-
ance and unplug the mains cable (1) from the socket.
