12/15/2022 OPERATION The bed(s) is/are operated from the control switch. Pressing and holding the switch in the UP position moves the bed(s) upward. Pressing and holding the switch in the DOWN position, moves the bed(s) downward. Limit switches are used to stop the bed(s) at their maximum travel range. - Page 5 12/15/2022 BRAKE LEVER OPERATION SOLENOID BRAKE RELEASE ON HAPPIJAC BED LIFT MOTOR THE LEVER MUST BE IN THE “ON” POSITION AT ALL TIMES. TURN TO “OFF” POSITION ONLY IF MANUALLY RAISING/LOWERING, THEN IMMEDIATELY TURN BACK TO “ON” TO PREVENT BEDS FROM DRIFTING DOWN.

12/15/2022 BEDS ARE STUCK IN THE FULL UP OR DOWN POSITION Scenario 1: This is the first time the dealer has tried to move the beds. The problem is most likely a wiring error from the trailer manufacturer. What the trailer manufacturers sometimes do is wire +12 and ground backward, then rather than fixing that problem, they turn the wall switch over to get the beds to run the right direction. - Page 7 12/15/2022 BEDS ARE NOT EVEN SIDE TO SIDE Most likely, the timing (connecting) shaft installed incorrectly. To correct this, the load must first be removed from mechanism. • Unpin and removing the lower bed platform from the mechanism. • Loosen the set screw in the connecting shaft at the motor end. •...

12/15/2022 MANUAL OVERRIDE Cranking Point To manually raise the beds: • Unplug the motor. • Release the brake. • Turn hex shaft using a ½” ratchet wrench. • Re-apply brake at desired bed height. • Reconnect motor plug. To manually lower the beds: •... - Page 9 12/15/2022 MOTOR AND BRAKE TEST The Motor and brake assembly is best tested by jumping 12-14 VDC directly to the motor. • Position the bed(s) well out of the upper and lower limit switches if possible. If not, exercise extreme caution during the following steps to avoid damage to the system.
