The INA230 senses current on buses that vary from 0V to 36V, with the device powered from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, drawing 330μA (typical) of supply current. The INA230 is specified over the operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.
This section describes the INA230 and supporting components. U1 is the INA230 current-sensing device. C1 and C2 are bypass capacitors that are placed near the sensor to help mitigate power supply noise and provide current quickly to the device when needed. LED D1 with current limiting resistor R4 are used to indicate when the EVM is powered on.
