For short bed truck applications the Pullrite SuperGlide hitch models will always provide better cab clearance, however, OEX Super 5th and SuperLite hitches do provide the option of additional cab clearance greater than any other fixed or stationary hitch. -

KING PIN ADAPTER BALL & FUNNEL The King Pin Adapter Ball, Funnel and Latch Pin must be lubricated before each trip or as needed. PullRite recommends using a dry graphite spray to prevent the attraction of dust and debris. A light wet lubricant such as WD-40 can also be used, but the two types of lubricants should not be used together. -

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT The SuperLite OEX is height adjustable and can be set in three positions. Refer to the illustration below, and follow each step to adjust your hitch height. 1. Insert Funnel into the hitch base to the desired height by lineing up the holes on hitch base and Funnel. Insert hitch pin through hole and clip in place. -

FUNNEL PLACEMENT All SuperLite OEX hitches are adjustable to provide rearward offset. The over the axle position is in Figure 1, but if you would like to add 4” of cab clearance, you can move the funnel to the rear position in the base (Fig.2). Choose the desired setting and follow the steps listed below. - Page 9 FUNNEL PLACEMENT 8. Insert the funnel through both the top and bottom funnel plate (Fig.5) 9. Insert funnel hitch pin (Fig.6,8) through the height adjustment hole into desired height position (see page 7 for details). 10. Tighten the (4) 5/8” X 6” Column Location Plate Bolts and (4) 5/8 flange nuts with a 15/16” socket to 110 foot pounds. 11.

KING PIN ADAPTER INSTALLATION 1. Verify that the king pin is clean and free of burrs before installing the King Pin Adapter. Remove any burrs with a flat file. If you are having fit issues, see “Challenge vs. Solution” on page 16. 2. -

OEX SUPERLITE OFFSET OPTIONS All SuperLite OEX hitches are adjustable front to back. When postioning the funnel behind the axle, along with the adjust- ments of the heavy duty pin box adapter, the OEX can allow up to 7.5" of rearward offset. The SuperLite OEX has four settings for towing to get the offset desired for more turning clearance. -

OEX SuperLite post holes directly over the pucks and drop hitch in place until seated firmly in the Brass Washers. The large PullRite decal should be facing the tailgate (see Fig.15). NOTE: Before inserting Mounting Posts for the first time, you will need to adjust them to obtain a custom fit as explained in the MOUNTING POST ADJUSTMENTS section on page 14. -

HITCH INSTALLATION 5. Press down while inserting Mounting Posts and rotate 90º, until hole in handle lines up with the hole in the tab on hitch base (Fig.16).The Mounting Posts should feel firmly locked in place. 6.Tighten the Mounting Post Plate Hex Bolts with a 1/2” socket to 13 foot pounds. 7. -

Page 17: Rota-Flex Pinbox Rubber Isolator
In the case that you use a Rota-Flex pinbox or similar design, the rubber block inside the pinbox has a tendency to work its way out of place while towing with the SuperLite OEX hitch. PullRite’s Pinbox Rubber Isolator (Part # 4447) restricts and keeps the rubber block in place. -
