PREPARING YOUR VEGETABLES AND FRUITS

PRODUCT TYPE

HARD ROOTS
Caution: Do not place too many fruit/vegetable
pieces. Too many pieces may clog the feeder tube
or the extraction screw and the appliance may stall.
NOTE: Firmly push down hard vegetable and fruit chunks into the juicer, because it runs at a slow speed. Juice extraction will be easier if you slice large carrots
into two or more long pieces. Use the pusher to feed in the chunks remaining in the feeder tube.
CEREAL GRASS
NOTE: Cereal grass may foam during extraction. Have the grass as fresh as possible to reduce foaming. You can also achieve this by cooling the cereal grass and
the extraction screw overnight in a refrigerator (or at least for 2 hours) or rinsing them with cold water directly before juice extraction. If you do not mind mixing
cereal grass juice with carrot juice, you can increase the cereal grass yield by extracting juice with a little of carrot. The carrot will help clean the filter basket
during processing.

PREPARATION
Wash all products. Slice the carrots into long, sleek strips to feed them
easily through the feeder tube.
If the carrots are large, slice them along into four quarters. Cut off
approximately 1 cm of the greenish end. Use the pusher to feed in the
chunks remaining in the feeder tube.
– Cut large beetroots and celery into smaller pieces
Cut the grass to length and rinse it with water. Place small portions
of the grass in the feeder tube mouth at a time for better extraction
performance. Use the pusher if needed.
– Greens: do not feed too much at a time, or it will be much more
difficult to process.
Hard and juicy varieties are preferable. You can juice the fruits whole, if
they fit in the feeder tube. Otherwise cut the fruits into smaller pieces.
Wash the products and cut them into smaller pieces (if necessary) for
easier feeding into the appliance. Peel off the skin if necessary. Do not
overfill the feeder tube mouth with too many chunks. Push down the
products with the pusher or the flap.
Peel off the skin and remove excess white fibres. Cut into smaller pieces
if necessary.
