What to do when...

What to do when...
Cause
Refer to "Resetting the P-touch Labeler" on page 70 and
reset the internal memory to the initial settings. If resetting
the P-touch labeler does not solve the problem, disconnect
the AC adapter and remove the batteries for more than 10
minutes.
Is the AC adapter connected
correctly?
Are you using the correct AC
adapter?
Are the batteries installed
correctly?
Is the language set
properly?
Has text been entered?
Is the tape cassette installed
correctly, and is there
enough tape remaining?
Is the end of the tape bent?
Is the tape jammed?
Solution
Check that the AC adapter
designed exclusively for
your P-touch labeler is
connected correctly.
Make sure that you are using
the AC adapter designed
exclusively for your P-touch
labeler (included in
package).
Remove and re-install the
batteries.
Refer to "Setting Language
and Unit" on page 23 and
select the desired language
for the LCD messages.
A label will not be printed if
there is no text entered.
Check that the tape cassette
is installed correctly, and
that there is enough tape
remaining.
If bent, cut the bent section
of tape with scissors and
thread the tape through the
tape exit slot correctly.
If jammed, remove the tape
cassette, carefully pull out
the jammed tape, and then
cut the tape with scissors.
Check that the end of the
tape passes through the
tape guide, and reinstall the
tape cassette.
