Task 17: Adding a Talkgroup
NOTE: Changes to talkgroups are made through the Talkgroup tab.
The procedure for creating a provisionable Talkgroup consists of creating a named
talkgroup, then populating the Talkgroup with named users.
•
Create a named Talkgroup and add it to the pool of available Talkgroups
1.
Click Add Talkgroups under Available Talkgroups.
2.
Click the entry and type the name of the Talkgroup. Tab to the Talkgroup ID
field.
3.
Type a valid number (1 through 255) in the Talkgroup ID field.
4.
Click on a blank row to save the changes.

Add named users to the Talkgroup from the Available Users list.
1.
Select the user(s) and click the Add button.
2.
Select the appropriate NAM (1 through 3) from the NAM drop-down box (if
more than one NAM is available).
3.
Only your service provider wcan add the talkgroup(s) to the system.
NOTE: When Talkgroups are added the following screen appears, "Please be
aware that talkgroups must be provisioned on the network. Contact your service
provider to add talkgroups and the users."
