Task 5: Creating a Backup
Before you modify any DEN C

that you make a backup of the
NOTE: To avoid loss of data, you should make backup copies of all iDEN
CompanionPro files before you modify them. A backup file is extremely
useful in replacing a data file that is corrupted or is inadvertently erased.
To make a backup:
1. Click on the title bar of the
File/Save As
2. Select .
3. In the File Save As dialog box, navigate to the drive and folder where you
want to save the file.
4. Enter a new file name in the File name field and click
NOTE: CompanionPro identifies
file name extension. If you do not use this extension when saving a data file,
CompanionPro will automatically add this extension to the file name when
it saves the file.
Before proceeding to the next task, take a few moments to review the
CompanionPro menus and the various features of the Call List window. These are
described in "Using CompanionPro" as described beginning on page 19.
