Instructions for Starting the Hedge Trimmer
Before starting, make sure the machine has been
assembled correctly, the screws are properly tightened,
the air filter is clean and free of excess oil, and remove
the plastic protector from the cutting blade.
With the Hedge Trimmer resting on a flat surface, keep
the cutting blade off the ground. Fill the tank (1) with
the correct ratio of gasoline to 2-stroke oil, and close
the tank cap (2) tightly.
Set the On/Off Switch (3) to the ON position and the
choke lever (4) to the indicated position, and press
the fuel-primer bulb (5) until fuel is passing through.
Next, step a foot inside the handle (6), hold down the
4
casing with one hand (7), and pull the starter cord (8)
slightly to take up the slack and then yank quickly,
repeating this process until the engine starts.
Once the engine is running, set the choke lever to

its original position; at idle speed the blade should
not move. If this occurs, the rotation speed needs
to be adjusted; watch the instructional video on the
Website to learn how to do so.
With the speed set, leave the engine running to
warm up for about 5 minutes before beginning
work by accelerating the engine.
If you need to turn it off quickly for safety reasons,
simply set the On-On/Off Switch (3) to Off
position.

To shut down normally, use up all the fuel in
the tank and let the engine shut down due to
lack of fuel, then set the On/Off Switch (3) to Off
position and drain the remaining gasoline from
the tank; before storing the equipment restart the
machine to burn off the remaining gasoline in the
carburetor.
ATTENTION!
Never leave gasoline in the tank so as not to
impair engine operation.
Before storing, return the plastic protector to the
blade and cover the engine with a cloth to prevent
the build-up of dust.
