Safety
•
Do not use this instrument if it or its test leads appear to be damaged
or if you suspect that the instrument might not be working correctly.
•
Make sure that the power supply to the circuit being measured is
turned off before taking any measurements. Even low currents can
be dangerous!
•
To avoid electric shocks, be very careful when working with voltages
higher than 60 V DC or 30 V AC RMS. Voltages higher than this pose
a risk of severe electric shocks.
-
Do not use the meter if the back cover or battery cover are not
in place.
-
Do not touch exposed wires, contacts, terminals or circuits.
-
Do not put your fingers behind the finger guard on the
test cables.
•
This instrument is protected by fuses, but they do not protect it from
all types of misuse.
•
This multimeter complies with the EN IEC 61010-2-030 and
EN IEC 61010-2-033 standards for electrical equipment and the
EN IEC 61326-1 standard for electromagnetic compatibility. It meets
the requirements of the CAT III rating (600V).
•
Do not use the product if the back cover or battery cover are not in
place to avoid the risk of electric shocks.
•
Never change the meter range setting while taking a measurement to
avoid damaging the meter!
•
Never take measurements on objects/devices with a voltage over
600 VDC or 600 VAC RMS.
•
Only measure voltage/current within the specified limits of
the multimeter. Disconnect any power sources and fully discharge
capacitors before measuring resistance, diodes or circuits to avoid
affecting the accuracy of the measurement.
•
You must not modify the internal circuits of the instrument.
•
Warning! If you are at all unsure about using the instrument, consult
a qualified electrician first.
•
Make sure that the object to be measured is not live before you
connect test cables in series with the measurement circuit (for
example when measuring the current).
Buttons and functions
The multimeter will automatically set the measurement function and
the measurement range.
1.
Measuring direct and alternating current
2.
On/off, manual function selector.
3.
NCV (non-contact voltage) measurement
4.

6.
Save measurement. Press to save
a measurement (hold function),
press again to delete the measurement.
7.
Voltage measurement, resistance
measurement, diode test, continuity test
8.
Connection for black test cable (common or
return terminal).
Measuring voltage, resistance, continuity,
diodes and batteries
1.
Connect the black test cable to the COM terminal and the red cable to the
VΩ terminal.
2.
Connect the test cables to the power source to be measured.
Measuring direct and alternating current
1.
Connect the black test cable to the COM terminal and the red test cable to
the mA/A terminal (for measurements between 0 and 600 mA).
2.
Connect the test cables in series between the power source and the load that
you want to measure.
NCV
NCV (non-contact voltage) is a function that can be used to measure the voltage
of power sockets, cables, string lights, plugs and other components through their
electromagnetic fields without making physical contact with them.
Replacing the batteries
•
When the "
" symbol appears on the LCD
screen, you should replace the batteries quickly
to make sure that the measurements
remain accurate.
1.
Remove the screw holding the battery cover
in place.
2.
Remove the battery cover.
3.
Replace the batteries and make sure that
the new batteries are inserted with the
correct polarity.
4.
Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.
Replacing the fuse
1.
Remove the screws on the back of
the multimeter that are near the bottom.
2.
Remove the back cover.
4
3.
Replace the fuse with one of the identical type
and specification.
4.
Replace the cover and tighten the screws.
5
Care and maintenance
•
Clean the exterior of the multimeter by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use only
3
6
mild detergents. Never use solvents or corrosive chemicals.
•
If you are not going to use the multimeter for a long period, you should remove
2
batteries and store the multimeter in a dry, dust-free place where it is out of
the reach of children.
Responsible disposal
7
This symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of
1
with general household waste. This applies throughout the entire
8
EU. In order to prevent any harm to the environment or health
hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal, the product must
be handed in for recycling so that the materials can be disposed
of in a responsible way. To recycle the product, take it to your
local recycling facility or contact the retailer. They will ensure
that the product is disposed of in a way that does not harm
the environment.
