Instructions for Replacing the Rain and Thermo/Hygro Sensors

Outdoor Sensor Array for WS2085 and WS3085

Tools

1x small Phillips screwdriver such as PZ 1x80

1x long-nose pliers

Method

Step 1: Dismount the sensor array and remove the batteries

Step 2: Remove the rain funnel by twisting anti-clockwise. (see Figure 1)

(see Figure 1)
Page 2 Step 3: Turn the device upside down and remove the two screws from the black baseplate nearest the rain bucket. Gently separate the two parts. (see Figures 2 and 3) Figure 2: Screws to remove Figure 3: Separating the rain bucket from the main body Step 4: Follow the cable joining the two parts and gently lift the protective rubber pad covering the circuit board to locate the plug and socket (see Figure 4).
Page 3 Step 5: Use long-nose pliers to grip the plug and gently pull it out parallel to the base, in the direction of the lie of the cable. It should slide out easily, requiring little force. (See Figure 5). Figure 5: Removing the connecting plug...
Page 4 Step 6: separate the two parts. (See Figure 6) Figure 6: Separated Assembly is the opposite of removal and take care to plug the replacement plug the correct way up.
