OIL FLOW / PRESSURE TEST

WARNING
Oil temperature can cause serious injury and dam-
age. Wear the proper safety gear when performing
these procedures.
NOTE: Due to the engine assembly having a majority of
roller bearings, oil pressure readings hot or cold will be
very low. Low oil pressure is not an indication of a oil
delivery problem.
1. Remove plug from the crankcase. See Page 3.6
2. Insert a 1/4 Pipe Thread oil pressure gauge adaptor
into the crankcase and attach an oil pressure gauge.
3. Start engine and allow it to reach operating
temperature while monitoring gauge indicator. Any
pressure above 9 PSI is an indication of good oil flow.

ENGINE BREATHER / OIL SEPARATOR

The breather / oil separator is located behind the gas tank
on the left side. The breather provides ventilation for the
valve cover and crankcase through the air box.
