I vacuumed up some baking powder and now I want to clean it out. How do I do that?

To clean baking powder out of the Shark POWERDETECT AZ4000 Series vacuum, follow these steps:

1. Turn Off and Unplug – Ensure the vacuum is turned off and unplugged from the electrical outlet.
2. Empty the Dust Cup – Remove the dust cup and empty any baking powder inside.
3. Check for Blockages – Inspect the hose, wand, and nozzle for any clogs and remove debris.
4. Clean the Filters – The HEPA filter should be cleaned every year, and the pre-motor filters should be replaced every 2.5 years. Remove the filters and tap off excess dust. If necessary, rinse with water and allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.
5. Clean the DirtDetect Sensors – If the DirtDetect Indicator is red, clean the sensors as hair and fine particles may obstruct them.
6. Reassemble and Test – Once everything is clean and dry, reassemble the vacuum and test its functionality.

Avoid vacuuming fine powders frequently, as they can clog filters and reduce suction efficiency.

Can you turn off the beater bar off where there is just suction on the new PowerDetect power lift away vacuum. On the Navigator Lift Away there is switch on the handle that disengages the beater bar. Does new PowerDetect vacuum have this capability?

The manual does not explicitly mention a switch to turn off the beater bar for suction-only mode. However, it does state that for maximum suction for above-floor cleaning, the vacuum should be set to Hard Floor mode, which may imply reduced or no brushroll activity.
