Use the power cord provided. Ensure that the power cord is firmly plugged into the power source and the X-CLARITY™ Polymerization System. Turn the X-CLARITY™ Polymerization System on only after connecting the power cord to it and the power source. -

The X-CLARITY™ Polymerization System combines these steps into one. Multiple samples can be placed in well plates or conical tubes for rapid, efficient, and high-throughput sample processing. -

Any damage claims must be filed with the carrier. Place the X-CLARITY™ Polymerization System on a clean, flat surface. Leave sufficient space around the system to allow proper ventilation. Plug the power cord into the system and to an electrical outlet after checking the outlet configuration in your area. -

Sample Loading Lift the cover by the handle until the cover stays open without assistance. The X-CLARITY™ Polymerization System is compatible with full-height conical tubes and flat- bottomed well plates. Place the necessary heat blocks into the chamber. Sample vessels should have just enough solution to fully submerge the samples. -

Starting a Run Close the cover. Make sure the settings under “Set” are correct. Press Run. The vacuum pump will activate and the image below will appear. Push down on the cover with both hands until the vacuum forms a seal between the cover and chamber and the image above disappears. -

Maintenance Software Update Logos Biosystems provides software updates to ensure optimal performance. The existing version of software is displayed in the startup screen and the Settings screen. Download the most recent version from the Logos Biosystems website (www.logosbio.com) into the root directory of a USB drive formatted to the FAT32 file system. -
Page 11: Replacing The Fuse
Replacing the Fuse The fuse is designed to protect the user and the system from excessive electric charge. The fuse rarely needs to be replaced, but may be replaced on a regular basis to maintain uninterrupted operation. If the system does not turn on, first check that the power cord is plugged into the system and into a working power source. -

Logos Biosystems. Sample not polymerizing Reagents are old and/or expired. Use a new X-CLARITY™ Hydrogel Solution Kit or mix up a fresh batch of hydrogel solution with thermal initiator. Check the expiration dates and storage conditions of all reagents. -
