- Page 3 Installation Mark the mounting hole locations Use the wall plate to mark the mounting hole locations. We highly recommend using a stud finder. Mounting on a stud wall 1. Pre-drill two holes into the stud using a 3/16" drill bit. Be sure to drill into the center of the studs.
