Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV Installer/User Guide 2 Nomenclature and Components This section describes the model number for Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV units and components. 2.1 Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV Model Number Nomenclature Table 2.2 on the next page describes each digit of the 25-digit configuration number. The 14-digit model number consists of the first 10 digits and last four digits of the configuration number.
The Premium Efficiency Control board on a Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV controls EC fans on the same circuit to the same speed to maintain refrigerant head pressure in DX mode and refrigerant temperature in EconoPhase mode.
Condensers must be installed on a level surface to ensure proper refrigerant flow. • The Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV heat rejection skid cannot be installed below the evaporator. • The DA125 through DA250 are used with a Liebert® MCV heat rejection skid with receiver tanks. For this system, the outlet of the receivers on the outdoor Liebert®...

Risk of oil contamination with water. Can cause equipment damage. Vertiv™ Liebert® MCV systems require the use of POE (polyolester) oil. POE oil absorbs water at a much faster rate when exposed to air than previously used oils. Because water is the enemy of a reliable refrigeration system, extreme care must be used when opening systems during installation or service.

1/2" per 10 feet (42mm per 10m) so that gravity will aid in moving oil in the direction of the refrigeration flow. 8. Vertiv requires installing external refrigerate isolation valves on the Liquid line entering and Hot Gas line leaving the indoor unit . The external isolation valves are required to allow service to safely evacuate the refrigerate charge from the indoor unit before serving the compressors, filter drier, or other refrigeration components.
