connection in a secure manner, you must have either an Ethernet-based Cable or DSL
modem with an established Internet account from an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

  • Page 2 First, connect the power cord to the Power Socket at the back panel of the DFL-1100 and then plug the other end of the power cord to a wall outlet or power strip. Press the switch to ON position The Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation.

    Restart your computer To obtain a new IP address from the DFL-1100 you wll need to restart your computer. Make sure that the network adapter in your computer is configured properly first. Instructions on how to configure the network adapter to obtain an IP address automatically from the DFL-1100 can be found in the appendix.
