Installing the Chute

Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Chute
Procedure
1. Angle the metal tab at the front of the chute into
the slot in the bracket welded to the mower deck
(Figure 24).

2. Pivot the chute back and toward the deck so
chute is flush with the mower deck

Note:
Ensure that the retaining hook on the
chute is out of the way so the chute opening
mounts flush to the deck.
3. Secure the chute to the deck by hooking the
flexible latch on the chute to the retaining clasp
welded on the mower deck to the rear of the
opening (Figure

to secure the chute into position
