A magnetic filter must be installed in the return pipe as close as possible to the system inlet. Do not
switch the system on without this.
Power must be supplied to the unit for at least 8 hours before operation in order to heat the
compressor sufficiently for first use. Do not start the compressor up from cold or expensive failure may
result.
A buffer tank must be fitted to ensure a minimum primary water volume of 30lt is obtained for the 8kw
unit and 50lt for the 12/14kw. If using a low loss header then a volumizing tank is will be required.
The pipe diameter used must be no smaller than 28mm copper (larger if plastic). Contact Secon for
advice if the pipe length exceeds 10 meters or you are using plastic pipe.
Freeze protection solutions must use propylene glycol with a toxicity rating of Class 1
and pre mixed before introduction and of the correct strength for the system. This should be checked
every year. Alternatively Anti-Freeze Valves can be used on these units with BH installed.
The water quality should be tested against Samsung's Requirements
The unit should be sited on a suitable base capable of supporting its weight and with means of
condensate disposal.
There must be at least 100mm clearance under the unit to allow for snow build up.
The unit should be installed to allow good air flow around the unit.
