Formatting a USB flash drive
(FORMAT USB MEMORY)
NOTE
¹ If the USB flash drive contains important data, be aware that this
operation erases all data from the drive.
¹ Never turn off the power or remove the USB flash drives while the
screen indicates "Executing... " .
1.
Press the [MENU] button.
2.
Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select "UTILITY",
and then press the [ENTER] button.
3.
Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select "FORMAT
USB MEMORY", and then press the [ENTER] button.
A confirmation message appears.
If you decide to cancel, press the [EXIT] button.
4.
To execute, use the cursor [<] [>] buttons to select
"OK", and then press the [ENTER] button.
When formatting is complete, the screen indicates "Completed!"

The backed-up data is saved in the
BACKUP folder.
BACKUP
To import tones, place them in the
SOUND folder.
To play songs from a USB flash drive,
place them in the SONG LIST folder.
Editing the system settings (SYSTEM)
Here's how to edit system parameters.
1.
Press the [MENU] button.
2.
Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select "SYSTEM",
and then press the [ENTER] button.
3.
Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select the item
that you want to edit, and press the [ENTER] button.
4.
Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select the
parameter that you want to edit, and use the [DEC]
[INC] buttons to edit the value.

Saving the system settings (system write)

To save the changes, hold down the [SHIFT] button
and press the [MENU] button.
MEMO
If you edit the system settings, an "*" symbol appears beside "SYSTEM".

Use the cursor [ä] [å] buttons to select "SYSTEM",
and then press the [ENTER] button.
The SYSTEM WRITE confirmation screen appears.
7.
To execute, use the cursor [æ] button to select
"WRITE", and then press the [ENTER] button.
If you decide to cancel, press the [EXIT] button.
Viewing the program version

Here's how to view the version of the RD-08's system program.
