- Page 5 Install the provided batteries into the scale before use. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and scale. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the scale prior to battery installation. Always select the correct size and type of battery most suitable for the intended use.
